Global L-band Service
Inmarsat SwiftBroadband offers dependable inflight voice and data connectivity for cockpit and cabin communications over the Inmarsat ELERA L-band network. Up to four channels can be provided per aircraft, which each deliver a circuit-switched voice channel and up to 432 kbps for simultaneous voice and standard IP data. Streaming IP is supported up to 256kbps, plus HDR streaming up to 700 kbps. Channels can be bonded together to permit data rates in excess of 1 Mbps. SwiftBroadband is also compatible with encryption and secure communications standards.
