Global Ka-band Service
Inmarsat Global Xpress offers wideband services over the Inmarsat Ka-band network for all mission environments with a consistent user experience worldwide. Steerable spot beams target capacity where needed for constant, reliable performance. Available in both commercial and MILSATCOM frequencies, Global Xpress can be integrated to augment existing government platforms or used as a standalone solution.
Service plans include a choice of Committed and Maximum Information Rates with flexible contract lengths. Satcom Direct’s private terrestrial infrastructure is directly connected to Inmarsat’s satellite ground stations for Global Xpress to deliver secure, end-to-end global connectivity of customer traffic.
Global Xpress delivers multi-megabit data rates via a wide range of Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP)-optimized terminals that support a diverse range of airborne applications, including manned/unmanned ISR, live full-motion video, theatre backhaul, tactical communications, command and control (C2), and emergency response, as well as voice, email, messaging, internet access, and videoconferencing for a mission office in the sky. Optional failover to Inmarsat SwiftBroadband L-band assures availability in all weather conditions.
Global Xpress is suitable for personnel on the move, on the pause or at a fixed location, with hand-carry, transportable, vehicle-mounted, and static terminals available, in both commercial and military-grade. Multi-megabit data rates allow more bandwidth-intensive applications such as large file transfer, live video, and satellite backhaul, as well as voice, email, messaging, internet access, and videoconferencing.
Multi-megabit data rates support voice, data, and video applications for naval operations and welfare communications; and a wide range of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf terminals are available. Optional failover to Inmarsat FleetBroadband L-band assures availability in all weather conditions.
