SD Flight Tracker
The SD Flight Tracker is a state-of-the-art global mapping solution which graphically displays aircraft position, NEXRAD and satellite weather, flight history, and network in use by each aircraft. ATS Position Reporting
Pilots have the option of using their Satcom Direct
Global One Number® instead of the HF radio for ATS position reporting. Pilots can use this ATS option by
dialing their
GON® from the flight deck phone and pressing “#” anytime after hearing the customized greeting message. Pilots can then choose from the following
stations: New York, Shanwick, Gander, Bodo, Iceland, Santa Maria, San Francisco, and Auckland
To ensure that ATS can contact your aircraft if required, pilots are encouraged to reference the aircraft GON in the “REMARKS” section of the flight plan.
This provides ATS the option of contacting the aircraft using satcom as an alternative to HF/SELCAL.
