Jim is the Founder and Owner of Satcom Direct, Inc. and Satcom Direct Communications. Prior to founding Satcom Direct in 1997, Jim was a satcom engineer for 13 years with Rockwell Collins, a leading aviation communications company. With over 20 years of experience in aviation, satellite networks and Inmarsat services, Jim holds the patent for his development of Satcom Direct's exclusive Global One Number® service. Jim has a business degree from Rollins College. A pilot since 2004, Jim sits left seat in the company's Cessna CJ.

David is Co-Founder and President of Satcom Direct Communications (SDC), an entity formed with Jim Jensen in March of 2002 to meet the communications needs of the military, government, and landmobile markets. Before founding SDC, David worked for COMSAT Mobile Communications as a Global Major Accounts Manager for the land-mobile and Business Aviation markets. During his time with COMSAT he met and became friends with Jim, a customer/reseller in the business aviation market. David has more than two decades of sales experience, with over than half of that time dedicated to selling Inmarsat services. David attended the USAF Academy and received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree from Yale University. He has been a pilot since 1983.

Sean is Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Satcom Direct, a role he has held since 2010. Sean joined Satcom Direct as General Counsel in April 2007and is now responsible for all Satcom Direct day-to-day operations and legal matters, reporting directly to Satcom Direct’s CEO Jim Jensen. With almost two decades of legal and financial experience, he holds an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, a JD from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.

Cindy joined Satcom Direct in 2005 and is Vice President of Finance and Human Resources. In her role, she creates, coordinates, and evaluates the financial programs and supporting systems of the company. She oversees the approval and processing of revenue and expenditures, coordinates the preparation of financial statements and reports, and interacts with other managers to assist with short and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the company. Prior to her role at Satcom Direct, Cindy was Chief Financial Officer for Riptide Software.

Curt is the Vice President of Satcom Technologies and Development and is responsible for network architecture, point of presence, lab infrastructure as well as support and technical map infrastructure. Curt’s experience within aviation, satellite networks and Inmarsat spans well over two decades. A satcom veteran, Curt was the manager of technical sales for Communications Products at Honeywell for twenty years holding various positions in satcom technical support, RF engineering design and development, project engineering for cockpit displays and manufacturing engineer for Windshear, Datalink and TCAS product lines.

Ed joined Satcom Direct in April 2005 and is Vice President, Government Business. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, he is responsible for managing military and government programs and accounts which include Senior Executive Command, Control and Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) manned and unmanned programs. Prior to his role at Satcom Direct, he served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 28 years as an airborne communications manager where he planned, operated, and managed SLC3S mission systems which included Inmarsat aeronautical capabilities (beginning in 1994) on over 15 different types of military aircraft, accumulating over 5100 flight hours. He holds an AAS in Communications Technology from the Community College of the Air Force and a BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Mike joined Satcom Direct in May 2011 as VP of Business Aviation Sales. Mike graduated from the University of Dubuque with a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management and Business Administration and has been involved in the Business Aviation market segment for thirty years. He spent most of those years with Rockwell Collins Commercial Systems Division in various sales and marketing roles and has worked with OEM’s, Dealer Networks, and corporate flight departments. His most recent assignment was Director of Eastern Region Sales. Prior to coming to Satcom Direct he was with MarathonNorco in Waco, TX as Director of Marketing and Sales.

Scott joined Satcom Direct in March 2006 as Vice President of Business and Strategic Development. Based in Seattle, Washington, Scott developed Satcom Direct's FlightDeck Freedom service. He is responsible for the development of aviation communications services and technologies that enable and expand the use of voice, broadband data, and flight deck datalink services on business aviation and military aircraft. Scott has more than 25 years of experience in the development of communications avionics and services for aviation, and was responsible for the development and growth of Honeywell’s Global Data Center business.

Bill joined Satcom Direct in June 2006 and is the Director of Software Development. Based in Satellite Beach Florida, he is responsible for the management and development of Satcom Direct’s programming needs. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the programming / automation field including 12 years at Kennedy Space Center working with automated calibration processes and Flight Software Integration. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Tech and a Master’s of Science in Engineering Management from University of Central Florida.

Bill joined Satcom Direct in September 2010 as Director of IT Development, Security and Compliance. Based in Satellite Beach Florida, he is responsible for the management and development of Satcom Direct’s IT organization including their IT security and compliance programs. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the information technology field; 14 of which were in the financial industry where he implemented numerous systems to enable the growth of business. Bill holds a Computer Information Systems Programmer/Analyst degree as well as certification in ITIL foundation management.

Jason is Director of Product Line Management. With more than ten years of government and business experience Jason is responsible for all Satcom Direct product lines including GON, Plane Simple®, AeroX®, AeroV®, Flight Tracker and Mobile applications. Other responsibilities include business opportunities and technologies, strategic planning, and supporting various day-to-day operations. Prior to joining Satcom Direct, Jason held several positions at Harris Corporation’s Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD) including Business Development, Sales Engineering, and Software Engineering. Jason holds an MBA and Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Florida Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Economics from the University of Florida. He is also a graduate of the Harris WINGS management development program.

Kevin joined Satcom Direct in March 2003 after graduating from the University of Central FL. Kevin currently works out of the company’s headquarters in Satellite Beach, FL. During the early years of Satcom Direct, Kevin was responsible for growing the Land Mobile division, which is known today as “Mobile OPS”. In 2006 Kevin began working exclusively on the aviation side of the business specializing in the Iridium and Inmarsat networks. Today Kevin oversees the inside sales group and works directly with the day-to-day operations of the company.

Len joined Satcom Direct in November 2010 as the position of Director, Technical Support and Field Support Operations and is responsible for worldwide customer support activities for our organization. Len has twenty-seven years of experience in commercial and corporate aviation which includes Senior Manager of Customer Support for Rockwell Collins, Director of Engineering for AMR American Eagle and as Avionics Manager for Simmons Airlines. Len holds an A.A.S. Degree in Avionics Technology from Ferris State University and also served as a FTM Petty Officer in the United States Navy.

Adrian joined Satcom Direct in September 2010 and holds the position of Mobile Operations Department Manager. Based in Melbourne, Florida, he is responsible for customer support, sales, and marketing activities for the department. Adrian's management/leadership roles include- leading XMWX/(WxWorx) customer activations and support activities for both Aviation and Maritime customers, Systems Test Leader for Harris Corporation WARP and SIMIN projects, and as a technological and operational manager for the USAF weather career field. Adrian holds a B.S degree in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University and is a retired USAF 20 year veteran.

Tammy joined Satcom Direct in May of 2007 as an Activations Specialist where she performed activations and configuration assistance for business aviation customers. She now manages the Activations team as well as handles all Military activations for US and foreign government aircraft. Prior to Satcom Direct, Tammy spent nine years within the Satellite Telecommunications industry holding various positions within sales and support.
