OneView™ service featuring DIRECTV programming is available to customers who subscribe through Satcom Direct for Satellite Television. DIRECTV programming is only available within the continental United States (CONUS).

This restriction is imposed by the program content providers (DIRECTV) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). DIRECTV covers the continental United States and requires that the satellite signal be shut off when the aircraft is outside the coverage area. The coverage area has been divided into following boundary areas (see below). The diagram shows the legal boundaries but does not reflect the actual boundaries in which the OneView™ system is viewable. The system is viewable inside the CONUS borders. Because of service provider restrictions and satellite signal strengths, OneView™ satellite TV operations are unpredictable and may not be viewable on or outside the U.S. borders, especially on the Eastern Seaboard and the Pacific Coastlines.
